@hoofanchor first stabalise the upper axis (weight location, turn extend, left tilt) then learn to create sufficient spine tilt at impact to give lift & shallower approach without compromising the control of the low point. the other issue can be due to a lack of control of the swing radius (accumulators) this would be worth spending some time with an instructor on. If you have no S&T instructor near you try our online coaching? solution.

@hoofanchor Could this be because I’m not straightening my front leg quick enough causing me to? swing down too long in my down swing? With my irons I was taking big divots behind the ball, which I usually don’t do often, I ended up switching back to my normal swings for the irons, but kept the S&T with my driver. Strokes were up and down as I tried a few adjustments, but still had 4 pars on the back 9 after changing back to my normal iron swing, thanks to the fairway hits.

Thanks for the videos. 2nd year golfer, high handicap, just broke 100 this season. I have a great short game but struggled with long irons and driver fighting a consistant slice to fade resulting in about a 15% fairway hit. Tried S&T yesterday and was hitting straight to slight draws right from the first tee, hit? 10/14 fairways. Ball height was inconsistant with a low flight slight draw to high flight straight. I hit most very high on my tee and hit the ground a few times with my driver.

Very similar, id advise yes if off a tee but if on the ground then play it more as an iron if your on the fairway. without seeing the player its impossible to advise 100% accurate but this? would be my initial advise.

The feet can still be wider the key element is to ensure that the lower COG is pushed fwd slightly this makes it a little easier to continue forward in downswing whilst? also giving the player a little side tilt to assist with angle of attack. as for the move over the top the answer is yes lateral movement will help keep player on the inside.

Thanks for the detailed explination. I find that in order for my hips to continue moving forward I have to keep my feet at set up close together as in the normal iron set up.
Say about 18 inches apart. Unlike a traditional set up with a driver where the feet is set up wider than with an iron. Is this a correct observation? ? Also sliding the hips forward in the downswing keeps me from the tedency I have of throwing my right shoulder at the top into the downswing. So thanks again.
